Requirements for obtaining a financial brokerage firm licence
19/12/2007 | Licensing and supervisionIn order to be authorized to provide investment services in the Republic of Lithuania a legal person shall file with the Lithuanian Securities Commission an application for a financial brokerage firm licence. The application filed by the brokerage firm shall be accompanied by the following documents:
- the operations and development plan;
- documents confirming that the firm holds sufficient initial capital;
- Articles of Association of the Company;
- a copy of the certificate of registration of the Company in the Register of Enterprises;
- the Rules on the organization of the internal control of the Company;
- the Rules on keeping confidential information secret.
A commercial bank seeking to obtain a conclusion on its readiness to provide investment services, shall file with the Securities Commission the following documents:
- an application for the permission to provide investment services;
- activity and development plan;
- regulations of the special internal unit;
- copies of licence of the commercial bank and the registration certificate.
The State fee for the issuance of the licence for financial brokerage firm is paid in accordance with the procedure of the Law on Fees and Charges of the Republic of Lithuania (Official Gazette, 2000, No. 52-1484).
The charge for the issuance of the licence for financial brokerage firm operations is LTL 3000.
The applicant may choose between the different payment methods.
In cash:
In any branch of AB bankas “Hansabankas” in Vilnius. Payment code 5710;
By payment order:
Recipient: Vilnius State Tax Inspectorate, s/a No. 10002458204;
AB bankas “Hansabankas” code 73000.
The payment or the transfer order shall bear a note: the State charge is credited into the State budget.
